Governments with existing GIS data, GIS Cartography and Publishing Services (GISCAPS) specializes in transforming that GIS data into a cartographically styled geodatabase for publishing purposes and/or for internal use. In other words, GISCAPS can turn your GIS data into a high quality cartographically styled (publishable quality) map.

GISCAPS specializes in transforming raw GIS data into a cartographically styled geodatabase with feature-linked annotation.  GISCAPS can then produce a variety of products, such as folding maps/atlases/wall maps and maps for internet display.  GISCAPS can also provide this cartographically styled geodatabase back to your government for internal use. See a sample map of a project GISCAPS completed for the Harrison County, Ohio Engineer.

Governments without GIS data, GISCAPS can assist in creation of a GIS map for your use.  GISCAPS can also help your governments’ maintain this GIS map and add content as the your needs increase, such as property lines (tax or plat maps), hydro (water), commission and voting districts, points of interest, schools and school boundaries, police and fire stations, etc.  Please contact GISCAPS to discuss your GIS needs.

GISCAPS can also convert your digital map into a viewable format on your government website utilizing Zoomify. Zoomify allows web viewers to zoom in/out and pan around your map placed on your web site for fast interactive viewing using your high-resolution map. Users do not have to download any additional software to view the maps on your website. GISCAPS can add pinpoints of your government office locations, schools, parks, points of interest, fire and police stations, etc. These points will display on the Zoomify map with a corresponding index. GISCAPS can enhance this index with hotlinks to the respective website for each location.  Please contact GISCAPS to learn more about Zoomify, how it can enhance your web site and help your constituents.
